During sedation or total intravenous anaesthesia, your vital signs such as Blood Pressure and Electrocardiograph will be closely monitored, and you will receive supplemental Oxygen either via nasal prongs or a "Hudson" face mask.

Use of a one or many of a variety of medications that reduce pain and anxiety. These drugs make patients sleepy, calm, restful and forgetful. Sedation is often used before general anesthesia or along with local anesthesia.
